These terms cover the 1bar web service at 1bar.online and its 1bar trip updates & safety alerts text program. By using 1bar or replying YES to a 1bar text you agree to them and to the privacy policy.

Not an emergency service

1bar is not a substitute for 911, a satellite messenger or a personal locator beacon. Reminders and alerts depend on phones, cell and internet service, email and text delivery, any of which can fail or be delayed. Always tell someone your plans directly and carry the right gear.

Text alerts program

1bar trip updates & safety alerts sends trip check-in reminders to people who turn them on, and trip updates and overdue alerts to the emergency contacts a traveller adds (after each contact replies YES). Message frequency varies: usually a few messages per trip day. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to opt out at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Details: text alerts.

Acceptable use

Use 1bar only for your own lawful personal browsing and trip planning, and only add people as contacts who have agreed to be your emergency contact.
